Parking at RAI Amsterdam is fortunately well organised, as long as you know how it works.

Parking directly at RAI Amsterdam
RAI has multiple car parks located directly next to the exhibition centre.
You literally park next to Horecava.
So you don’t need to take the metro or tram to reach the exhibition.
From the car parks you can walk straight to the entrance.

How to drive to the car parks
When you arrive at RAI Amsterdam, follow the P RAI signs.
Good to know
You can drive up on the left side of the building
This automatically takes you past the different car parks such as P1, P2, P3 and P4.
How do you know where space is available?
At each car park you can immediately see whether there is space.
Green light means available
Red light means full
If a car park is full
You simply continue to the next one
There is often also a parking attendant who clearly indicates this.
So you never have to search or turn around.
Walking distance to the Horecava entrance
If you park in a garage close to the entrance
You can walk inside within a few minutes
If you park slightly further away or higher up
Take the lift to the ground floor
From there you walk along or around the building
In bad weather there is partial cover
The maximum walking time is about 10 minutes
Even from the further car parks
Parking at the P+R rate at RAI Amsterdam
During Horecava you can park at the favourable P+R rate in the RAI car parks.
This is possible in:
P1, P2, P3 and P4
Please note
Payment at the P+R rate is only possible in P1, P2 and P4
Afterwards you may exit from any car park
P+R parking rates
Monday to Friday
Entry before 10.00
€ 13,00 for a maximum of 24 hours
Monday to Friday
Entry after 10.00
€ 6,00 for a maximum of 24 hours
Weekends and public holidays
€ 6,00 for a maximum of 24 hours
After the first 24 hours the regular rate applies
From 1 January 2026
€ 6,00 per hour
Maximum € 36,00 per day

How exactly does P+R work at the RAI?
Park in one of the RAI car parks
Use your OV-chipkaart, paper public transport ticket or a P+R GVB card
The P+R GVB card is available in the P+R information room
This is located next to the pedestrian entrance of car park P1
Important
Your last public transport check-in must take place in the P+R central area
Pay within 1 hour after your last check-out
At the payment machine in P1, P2 or P4
After that you can leave the car park without an exit ticket

You will not receive a discount if you check in and out using
Debit card
Credit card
Mobile phone
Smartwatch
Barcode e-ticket
Always use an OV-chipkaart, paper public transport ticket or P+R GVB card

Do you need to take public transport to Horecava?
No.
For Horecava itself you do not need to take the metro or tram.
RAI is located directly next to the car parks.
However
If you want to go into the city after the exhibition
The metro is a 1-minute walk away
This way you can combine parking at the RAI with a visit to the city centre
And still benefit from the P+R rate
